Demo Tour: Alexandria, IN
May 21, 2005
The Alexandria Demo Tour stop was a unique one. The location consisted of a covered warehouse with no walls, and a riding surface that was smooth as ice. There was a nice shade covering to keep everyone cool this time. It was an interesting stop...the Demo Tour team had everything set up...but no riders. Hmmm. Then, about ten minutes before the event start time, carload after carload of people started showing up. It was great! At least 75 riders, assorted parents and families were in attendance. For a small-sized town, this was a terrific turnout! According to local youth riders, including a rider named Casey, the kids have been lobbying for a community skatepark for years. The energy was so good, the Demo Tour team let the kids skate for an extra half hour. Next stop: Westlake, Ohio.
